You may find that circumstances have caused you to default (miss some monthly payments) on your Mortgage, other loans, or credit cards. This will cause the lender of the money, or the credit card company to enter a bad credit entry on your credit report, so that anyone you apply to for a bad credit mortgage will be able to see this information, and with what could easily be construed as a minor problem, you could well find yourself with a bad credit history.
